Palfinger customers face complex handling tasks on a daily basis, combining greater outreach than previous TEC models with maximum lifting capacity. Inspired by these challenges, Palfinger has developed a new TEC crane series based on the experience it has gathered as a market leader for more than 90 years.
In addition to its striking design, the new innovative TEC series offers impressive precision, making the latest generation of Palfinger cranes smarter, more powerful, and above all faster in operation. The new series introduces an impressive nine new models.
Why is the TEC series so brilliant?
PALTRONIC 180
The TEC series cranes are equipped with the PALTRONIC 180 control electronics. The new control system enables smarter, more efficient, and simpler operation through three key functions:
- Leveling Assistant supports operators in the truck leveling process before operation. The process is semi-automatic and controlled via a single lever.
- Smart Control is a system that simplifies crane operation for the operator by enabling control using only a single joystick.
- Memory Position allows the storage of four crane positions in space, which can be reached by operating two control levers.
In addition, PALTRONIC 180 offers additional systems for comfortable and efficient crane operation:
- P-Fold system enables folding the crane into transport and working positions using a single lever on the remote control.
- Rope Tension Control (RTS) system ensures that the rope tension is automatically adjusted in accordance with the boom movements of the crane.
- Synchronised Rope Control (SRC) system maintains a constant distance between the crane boom and the hook during boom movement.
- DPS-Plus & DPS-C system provides additional lifting power of the fly-jib in all crane positions.
- HPSC-Plus LOAD system recalculates the maximum outreach by taking the load on the truck into account. It optimizes crane operation based on the payload and the extension of the stabilizers.
- HPSC-Plus GEOM enables accurate calculation of the center of gravity by taking into account the length of the extended outriggers, as the outriggers are equipped with sensors that measure their extension. Based on this data, the Palfinger crane recalculates the optimal load chart.
- AOS (Anti-Oscillation System) prevents load swinging during sudden changes in direction.
- SOFT STOP ensures gradual deceleration of crane movements before final stopping.
- MEXT system ensures that mechanical extensions are detected by crane sensors so that they are integrated into the overload protection system.
- MFAJ function allows the use of the MFA mechanical extension for the jib (hydraulic extension) within the overload protection system.
- WEIGH function enables load weighing and displays the weighed load on the PALCom P7 remote control screen.
LX-6 CONTROL VALVE
The improved sensitivity of the new Palfinger TEC cranes is made possible by LX-6 control valves. In combination with the specially developed PALcom P7 remote control.
PALCOM P7
The PALcom P7 radio remote control is an ergonomic and anti-stress remote control that also provides a wide range of innovative support systems. The “PALdrive” rotary wheel on the remote enables quick access to the main menu with a clear color display, ensuring simple and safe operation of the Palfinger crane.
P-PROFILE
The common signature of all Palfinger cranes in the TEC series is the P-profile boom. The P-profile structural design makes the cranes significantly lighter. This, of course, results in higher payload capacity. The cranes are more stable during operation, enabling the operator to work with greater precision. In addition to all of the above, the P-profile also results in significantly lower maintenance costs.
NEW TEC DESIGN – ELEGANT AND FUNCTIONAL
The new TEC crane design stands out visually not only due to the P-profile but also because of its distinctive elegance. The new models are specially finished with a high-quality PALFINGER logo integrated into a grey tone on the main boom of the crane. All other logos are applied in a subtle white colour.
