For the second year in a row, Palfinger BH was a participant and proud sponsor of Forestry Kupres 2017, the most important professional gathering in the field of forestry and the wood industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The two-day conference brought together more than 300 experts from various fields, who, through active discussions, analyzed the current state and considered future challenges of the forestry and wood processing industries in Southeast Europe.
The focus of the conference was on personnel education as a key prerequisite for the development of the sector on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European path. As part of the conference, field visits to forest areas and wood processing plants were organized, with the participation of international experts and representatives of sectoral associations from Europe. Following the conference, a skiing competition was held for representatives of forestry companies from countries in the region.
At this significant event, Palfinger BH presented state-of-the-art solutions for the transport of logs and other timber. Special emphasis was placed on the new M series of EPSILON cranes, which feature:
- greater reach,
- comfortable MASTER DRIVE seat with electro-proportional controls,
- EPSHOOD operator protection,
- and internal routing of hydraulic hoses, ensuring better protection and easier servicing.
Forestry trailers and semi-trailers from PK’s in-house production were also presented, equipped with:
- air suspension and BPW axles,
- EBS system for improved braking,
- TRS system against side tipping,
- integrated automatic scales for load control.
Loading platforms are available in various designs: fixed, modular, or with the possibility of modification according to the customer’s needs.
Representatives of Palfinger BH expressed their satisfaction with the excellent organization and reception in Kupres and confirmed their participation for the following year.
The conference was organized by: ŠGD Hercegbosanske šume, with co-organizers the European State Forest Association, Wood Cluster of Herzegovina, Croatian Wood Cluster, and professional magazines Privatne šume and Drvo&Namještaj.
