PALFINGER PK 165.002 TEC 7 – New crane generation

As an industry innovator, PALFINGER has introduced the PK 165.002 TEC 7 – a next-generation crane that sets new standards in power, reach, and weight optimization.

Designed for vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of up to 32 tons, the PK 165.002 TEC 7 pushes the performance boundaries in the heavy-duty crane category. This model is one ton lighter than its predecessor, the PK 150002, while simultaneously offering up to 15% higher lifting capacity and over 20% greater payload on the fly-jib.

“The goal was to develop a crane that combines high reach and great lifting capacity with a significant reduction in weight,” stated Gerald Pschernig, Director of the Crane Division at PALFINGER.

Key Advantages:

  • Lifting capacity: Up to 125 tm
  • Fly-jib capacity: Increased to 8.2 t (formerly 6.5 t)
  • Maximum lifting reach: 35 m with the PJ 240, or 40 m with the PJ 300L

Power Link Plus Technology

A standout feature of this model is Power Link Plus – an auxiliary boom that can be angled down to -15°. This allows for easier execution of specialized tasks, such as lifting loads through narrow openings or in restricted spatial conditions.

Functional Design and Minimal Maintenance

PALFINGER has paid special attention to the protection of key components – sensors, hydraulics, and electronics are positioned to be maximally protected from mechanical damage and weather conditions.
Thanks to special synthetic sliding elements and a KTL coating, maintenance of the extension system is minimal, saving users both time and costs.

The PK 165.002 TEC 7 has been available on the market since the third quarter of 2015 and represents the perfect choice for users requiring a premium crane for demanding tasks.
